Climbing

Coaching is provided by our fully qualified coach who will provide climbing tuition in addition to instruction about harnesses, knots, use of carabinas, and belaying techniques. Parents are encouraged to assist with belaying techniques.


Group Climbing

18:30 – 19:30

We keep this hour clear for any youth groups which may wish to book up a weeks climbing instruction as something different to their weekly programme of activities. This hour is primarily aimed at Guides, Scouts, Brownies, Army/Navy/Air Cadets, Duke of Edinburghs Award, Youth Centre, or young church groups. We will provide a qualified instructor, harnesses, ropes, and a selection of climbing shoes. Please call us to enquire about vacancies, costs, and number of helpers that are required.


 

Trampolining – Beginners

16.45 – 17.145

£3.20 + 80p

Coaching is provided by our fully qualified coaches who will provide instruction in basic trampolining moves and introductory routines. Young people will have the opportunity to progress through our trampolining certificates.


Trampolining – Performers

17.45 – 18.45

£3.10 + 70p

This session is aimed at those who have already done a little trampolining. Our coaches will provide instruction in trampolining moves and routines that build on the first session.


Ballet

17:00 – 19:30

Dance Studio

Our ballet classes are run by Battle School of Dance who offer a wide range of classes for all abilities. Anyone interested in beginning ballet classes should contact Sarah Holt on 01424 773806.


 

Judo

Westerleigh Judokwai is a family run club and has never segregated the main stream and special needs students. We are linked with the Special Olympics organization and so our coaches are fully trained to work with both children and adults with special needs. However many of our judo students are regular main stream and they train right alongside those with special needs.

Table Tennis Rother – Battle Area Junior Table Tennis Coaching

Ages 8 – 16

19:30 – 20:30

Table Tennis Rother is an Table Tennis England 4 Star Ability Premier Club and Sport England Club Mark Accredited, child safe and friendly, club. All coaches are fully qualified and DBS checked and undertaken child protection training. Our Junior Section offers a mixture of fun and coaching with the opportunity to work towards skills awards in Table Tennis. Our Table Tennis Robot is available to improve skills or just to challenge! Older Juniors can take leadership awards . All abilities welcome, including those with a disability, and all equipment is provided.

Herstmonceux Cricket Club Junior nets

17:00 – 19:00

It is a sure sign that the cricket season is coming round with our winter nets training starting on Friday 24th January. Sessions are held at Battle Sports Centre at Claverham School costing only £3 per session.

Girls Basketball

Have fun on the basketball court and learn new individual and team skills from EB qualified coaches. Sessions will include: shooting, ball handling, small sided games and matches.


 

Battle Cricket Club Junior nets

15:00 – 16:00

A friendly local club who recognise the long history of cricket in the town and local area (280 recorded years), but also look to the present and future. For 2020, they be running two senior sides in the East Sussex Cricket League – our 1st XI are likely to play in Division 6 of the new amalgamated ‘Sussex Cricket League’, whilst the 2nd XI play in Division 11.
