This is a fun racquet sport which combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. The game can be enjoyed by people of all ages and athletic ability. Many senior people take up Pickleball in retirement, however it is still played and enjoyed by school children as well as top athletes.

NEW! Walking Netball

Walking netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level. 

£5 per adult, please book in advance by phoning the centre.


Judo (Westerleigh Judokwai) Currently Unavailable

Westerleigh is a family run club and has never segregated the main stream and special needs students. We are linked with the Special Olympics organization and so our coaches are fully trained to work with both children and adults with special needs. However many of our judo students are regular main stream and they train right alongside those with special needs.


Stoolball League Currently Unavailable

The Indoor Stoolball League has been running for 14 years and provides league competition between ladies teams from as far afield as Little Common, Burwash, Pett and Sedlescombe, from September ‘til April. South East Tigers Basketball Club

South East Tigers play in the Sussex Mens Basketball League. Home matches are played at Battle Sports Centre, with training sessions on the remaining Wednesday evenings, run by a level 3 EB coach. For further information call Hung Li 07983 799495.

Battle Area Table Tennis Club is part of Table Tennis Rother, a Table Tennis England 4 Star Ability Premier Club and Sport England Club Mark Accredited . The club is fully inclusive provide a warm welcome to new players, including those with a disability, with full access for wheelchairs. The club has 2 qualified and DBS checked coaches who are on hand to help you improve your skills should you require, Whether it’s a social game with friends or others, or you want to learn new or improve current skills Battle Area Table Tennis Club has a place for you. All equipment is provided and there is access to a table tennis robot from time to time.

Tai Chi is an internal martial art of Chinese origin and we acknowledge and sometimes demonstrate the more martial aspects but in the beginners class concentrate more on the aspects of Tai Chi which help to work on Relaxation, balance, posture, breathing and general health.

Westerleigh Judokwai is a Main Stream and Special Needs Judo Club that was founded in 1995 by two brothers, Paul and Chris Everest. Since 1995 the Club has grown to the extent of having over a hundred members ranging from 5 years old and over and has gone from strength to strength ranging from producing Area Squad members and European & World SN Champions to being awarded the BJA Club of the Year 2012 and the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2015 – the only club to date within the BJA to receive such an award!
